Jiejie

I watch the drama first. Then I start asking questions.

I am an expressionist

I am not here to turn every reaction into a lecture or every opinion into a verdict. I freely express what I notice, what makes sense (to me), what absolutely does not, and what sends me looking for context.

Curiosity before certainty

Asian dramas open doors into language, history, family, food, architecture, social rules, and everyday life. I may begin with a dramatic side-eye, but I would rather ask why than pretend I already know.

Unfiltered does not mean unkind

I can question a choice, laugh at a trope, or call out nonsense without treating people or cultures like the punchline. The joke belongs to the situation—and sometimes to the villain thumbing prayer beads after poisoning three relatives before lunch.

This site is my perspectives, my curiosity, and the conversations that grow from both.
