Synopsis
The drama follows Hua Fu Sheng, a brilliant but socially naive young physician whose dedication to unconventional medical techniques earns him both the respect and suspicion of the community. His life takes a drastic turn when he is wrongfully implicated in the mass deaths of numerous doctors. The only lead to clear his name and unravel the dark conspiracy is a mysterious clue left by his deceased master, which references the enigmatic "Book from Heaven".
As he investigates this complex case, Hua Fu Sheng finds himself reluctantly partnered with two unlikely allies: Wen Jue, the resourceful daughter of Liangzhou’s City Lord, and Gu Tian, the charismatic successor of a renowned opera troupe. Recognizing the danger he faces, Wen Jue utilizes her family’s political standing to shield Hua Fu Sheng, enabling him to establish a medical clinic in Liangzhou, while Gu Tian employs his vast network and eloquent communication skills to gather critical information.
Working together, the trio attempts to solve the deepening puzzle while Hua Fu Sheng dedicates his skills to treating the disadvantaged residents of Liangzhou. However, as they delve deeper into the secrets surrounding the deaths, they encounter a continuous stream of bizarre occurrences. Hua Fu Sheng’s presence in Liangzhou City inadvertently sets off dangerous, hidden machinations, revealing a profound conspiracy that threatens the peace of the entire region.
