Jiejie’s Take
Sarcastic Warning: Contains Maximum Tropes. It's the classic drama bingo! Our heroine somehow ends up possessed by a lethal royal concubine just to survive the cutthroat world of acting and dating a billionaire.
Synopsis
The narrative follows Sin Seo Ri, an under-the-radar actress whose life takes a dramatic turn when she is suddenly possessed by the spirit of a notorious femme fatale from the Joseon era. This spirit, a former high-ranking royal concubine who was executed by poison for her seductions and schemes, brings a sharp, vicious edge to Seo Ri's personality. Thrust into the 21st century, the ancient soul must navigate the complexities of the modern entertainment industry while retaining her ruthless instincts. Simultaneously, Seo Ri becomes entangled with Cha Se Gye, a cold-hearted and ambitious chaebol heir who is accustomed to getting his way. Their meeting sparks an immediate and intense rivalry, setting the stage for a tumultuous love-hate relationship. As they clash over corporate power and personal pride, the series explores whether a legendary villainess can find a second chance at life and love in a modern world.
