Synopsis
The narrative begins by exploring a forgotten historical mystery rooted in the ancient Qin Dynasty, where Emperor Qin Shi Huang deployed a secretive military unit, the “Tangled Army,” on a critical mission to uncover the secret of immortality. This unit and its findings subsequently vanished, leaving behind only an enduring legend.
In the present day, the destiny of Nie Jiu Luo, an unassuming sculptor, is disrupted when her identity as a direct descendant of the Tangled Army's lineage makes her a central figure in the revived quest for ancient knowledge. Simultaneously, Yan Tuo, a wealthy heir, is desperately searching for answers regarding his family’s fate, which is currently being manipulated by the mysterious figure, Lin Xi Rou.
Upon meeting, Nie Jiu Luo and Yan Tuo form an alliance to investigate their connected pasts.
