Jiejie’s Take
Sarcastic Warning: Contains Maximum Tropes. It's the classic drama bingo! Our heroine somehow ends up with amnesia right after a crucial battle, only to then reunite with her former enemy, who also happens to be a prince, and they have to fall in love while running from everyone. You know, just a typical Tuesday in dramaland.
Synopsis
In the midst of a pivotal battle at Pingling, the Jinxiu Kingdom faces imminent collapse. Amidst the chaos, a skilled female archer, Fu Yi Xiao, clad in striking red, manages to strike Feng Sui Ge, the eldest prince of Susha, dramatically shifting the battle's momentum. However, a fateful turn of events leads Yi Xiao to fall off a cliff, resulting in her losing all memory.
Following her rescue by the compassionate Ling family of doctors from the Righteous Villa, Yi Xiao's path once again converges with Feng Sui Ge, now her forgotten adversary. Witnessing her disoriented state, Sui Ge deduces a connection to the Pingling battle and resolves to utilize Yi Xiao to uncover the hidden truths behind the conflict. Meanwhile, Yi Xiao, under relentless pursuit, sees Sui Ge as her sole means of survival.
Bound by their desperate circumstances, these two former rivals, who were mortal enemies just a month prior, are compelled to collaborate within the tumultuous confines of Yujing City. As they navigate numerous life-threatening encounters, an unforeseen romance begins to blossom between them. The narrative delves into themes of hatred, betrayal, deception, unrequited desires, and unbreakable attachments, positioning every character as both a strategist and a pawn in a larger, intricate scheme.
Ultimately, Yi Xiao and Sui Ge must forge an unbreakable alliance to confront the pervasive dark conspiracy, defy the constraints of destiny, fulfill the expectations of their people, and remain steadfast in their commitment to each other.
