Hello, this is Gigi! I just wanted to talk about something that most of us probably have experience with, especially if you watch a lot of Korean dramas and some Chinese dramas. When the drama gets heavy—right now I'm watching the Korean drama Teach You a Lesson, and it is about bullying—this has always been a theme that I tried to stay away from because I really don't like it. However, this drama added a twist to it where the bullies are getting what they deserve, so I'm actually enjoying it.I am on—I just finished episode 9, and I had to pause because it had gotten heavy, and the last episode is... and I will probably pick that up in a day or so because I'm watching so many other things. However, my purpose for this little chat is to just let you guys know that sometimes when you are watching dramas that have that heavy content, that emotional content, the content that kind of almost stifles your breath, learn when to pause! Don't watch all 16 episodes, don't binge it, you know, all in one take. Because while we're watching these dramas, they definitely can have an emotional impact on us. If you've been watching something that is dark and heavy, and you know you start feeling a little—not so much down, but not as energetic, or not in the mood to really deal with people or be happy—sometimes it is just the weight of what we have observed or what we have absorbed from watching these dramas. So what we want to do is always take the time to step away, especially if you are feeling an emotional impact. You want to stop, pause, whether it be the end of the day that you pick up again the next day, two weeks from now, six months from now, just you make that decision. But there has to be a pause! We want to make sure that we are keeping our emotional wellness. Well, that's all I wanted to say. Thank you so much for you guys listening and checking out daydrama.com. This is Gigi's Unfiltered Screen. I love you, bye-bye.
