Source synopsis
Fan Changyu, a butcher’s daughter determined to protect her household, rescues the injured and disguised Xie Zheng. The two enter a mutually useful false marriage while each conceals urgent goals. Their arrangement becomes genuine love as family danger, military conflict, and Xie Zheng’s pursuit of an old injustice pull them into a much larger struggle.
